Biographical / Historical

Sir Charles William Chadwick Oman (1860–1946) was a historian. He held a fellowship at All Souls College and a Chichele Professorship of Military History at the University of Oxford from 1905 until his death in 1946. His other interests included: archaeology, architecture, silver, and coins. Further details of his life and work can be found in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
